We understand the confusion expressed in comments regarding the shipping waves and which products are left to fulfill. This hasn’t exactly been the most streamlined campaign, but we’re determined to deliver on our promises regardless.

The amount of content we promised to deliver on this campaign was more than we’d bargained for in many ways. Putting aside the playtesting, the Crawl Compendium in and of itself is probably a good 6 months worth of solid development time if done the way we’d envisioned, and with so many other facets of the campaign needing attention, the Crawl Compendium and Bellicose PvP Teaser were put on the backburner.
The Crawl Mode specifically is something we feel needs some serious TLC. Since the amount of potential expansion content for the Crawl Mode is endless, developing it further would significantly boost the replayability of the entire Middara product line. Not to mention, a more robust Crawl Mode would add value to many of the resin releases and content expansions that we’ve released in the past.
This is a long-winded way of saying that we haven’t forgotten about The Crawl Compendium and Bellicose PvP Teaser, and once the rest of this campaign is delivered, we’ll have some breathing room to really crank out some killer content for both of these.
In last week’s update, we’d mentioned that we’d adjusted a handful of files after noticing errors on the factory proofs. We said that for the sake of time, we were thinking about approving these files virtually through a Zoom call rather than having them shipped to our office again.
In the Kickstarter comments and on Discord,we had a lot of you urge us against this.
Ultimately, we agree with you, and we are going to have the proofs shipped to us again for us to review in person. This will take longer but is the right call. At this stage in the campaign’s development cycle, missing something simple because we skipped a step would be inexcusable.
As of this posting, all the files have been adjusted and resubmitted to the factory.
In total, there were 12 files that we needed to fix and we’re now just waiting for those proofs to arrive at our office.
