The Cave Sickle Queen Bounty Pack

The Cave Sickle Queen Bounty Pack offers a Mundane level bounty where adventurers will explore a vast network of underground caverns, battling through the swarm of Cave Sickles to reach the heart of the hive and confront the formidable Cave Sickle Queen.
This Bounty Pack introduces exciting new variations of Cave Sickles that will challenge players to adapt their strategies and develop new tactics.
The Cave Sickle Queen Bounty Pack new miniatures, tokens, and loot that bring the terrifying ecology of this iconic Middaran monster to life.
How do you use The Cave Sickle Bounty Pack?
During Story Rounds in the Unintentional Malum Adventure, you’ll be given the option to “attempt a (skull) bounty”.

The Cave Sickle Queen is a Mundane (1 skull) Bounty, so if the Story Round tells you to “Attempt a (1 skull) Bounty as an option, you will be able to play it there.

It can also be played as a standalone expansion using the build guides in the beginning of the Bounty Book.

The Pit Boss Bounty Pack

The Pit Boss Bounty Pack offers a Uncommon level bounty where adventurers brave the depths of an Itlum mine, encountering new Adlet enemies and facing the hazards of the miasma.
This Bounty Pack includes new miniatures, powerful loot, and over a dozen Encounters.
Discover the secrets of the Adlet kingdom, face the imposing Pit Boss, and claim the Itlum for yourself.
How do you use The Pit Boss Bounty Pack?
The Pit Boss Bounty will be used in the same way that The Cave Sickle Queen is used, the only difference is that the Pit Boss is a 3 skull Bounty and may only be attempted on Story Rounds that allow a 3 skull Bounty to be attempted.

The Pit Boss can also be played as a standalone expansion using the build guide rules in the front of the Bounty Book.

Trail of a Princess Adventure Pack

Trail of a Princess: An Opportune Tip is a fast-paced micro-adventure for the Middara tabletop RPG, designed to be inserted into Act 1 of the Unintentional Malum campaign.
Players take on the role of Shayliss Arsen as she teams up with an old flame to locate her missing sister, Princess Nightingale. Your decisions will guide the future of Elenia—or at least the survival of the Arsen princesses. Requires Middara: Unintentional Malum Act 1 to play.
Includes new tokens, loot, combatants and adventurers to bring the adventure to life.
How do you use the Trail of a Princess Adventure Pack?
Trail of a Princess is a standalone solo Adventure that requires Act 1 to play. This micro-adventure is narratively adjacent to the Act 1 storyline, but isn’t linked closely enough that the decisions made in Trail of a Princess affect the Act 1 Adventure.
Like the Bounties, The Trail of a Princess Adventure Book will provide build guides at the front of the book to expedite set up and get you playing as quickly as possible!

This Adventure Pack has 4 Encounters total (you’ll only play through 3 in a playthrough) so it’s about 8-10 hours of gameplay.

Act 1 Token Upgrade Pack

How do you use The Act 1 Token Upgrade Pack?
The Act 1 Token Upgrade upgrades all the cardboard standees in Act 1 to plastic figures.

The Blighted Brute figure changed from a 1x1 base on the standee version to a 2x2 base on the plastic figure.
We’ve included an errata sheet for the Encounter where the Blighted Brute appears to explain how this will work mechanically.

Lupercalia 2021 Pack

The Lupercalia 2021 pack introduces a new faction of Earth Espers to the world of Middara, inspired by the myths and rituals of ancient Rome.
This pack includes plastic figures of Faunus, The Judge’s Daughter, the Lupercai, and Psyche. These espers can be used as allies, or as opposing Espers, adding new strategic options to your Adventure and Crawl Mode Middara game.
How do you use The Lupercalia 2021 Pack?
The Lupercalia 2021 Pack beefs up the pool of available espers players may summon using the Assemblage Discipline called Summoning.
But beware, enemy summoners will also be able to summon these debaucherous Lupercalia espers!

Wave 2B - Playtesting For Act 2 + 3 Is Now Complete

We are excited to announce that playtesting for Middara Act 2 + 3 is officially complete as of last Thursday.
It took 4 separate groups, playing roughly two Encounters per week, close to 9 months to get through.
Ian will spend the rest of this week implementing any remaining feedback, and for good measure, Brooklynn is taking one final scan through the rulebook, but other than that, we’re stepping away from the playtesting and development of Act 2 + 3.
The trilogy is complete…
Pirates of Elenia, Vol. 1
The last product to be completed on this campaign will be Pirates of Elenia, Vol. 1 : Chasing Legends, a behemoth of an expansion that got scope-creeped so hard it took on a life of its own and became sentient.
When it comes to scope and component count, Pirates is about half the size of Act 2 + 3.
Our final group is making good progress, but we’re still a ways out with playtesting on this one. At the pace our playtesters are moving, we estimate Pirates being completed by August.
Check the flowchart…

This doesn’t mean that we will just be waiting around until then.
In the meantime we will be continually submitting all other files for print, approving digital samples, getting the remaining molds started for mass-production. We’ll make sure not to waste any time here.
Our goal is to have Wave 2B in mass-production by August and push to deliver before the end of the year.

Thanks for reading through our update!
WIth Wave 2A on the boats, our next hurdle will be to navigate the tariffs once the ships land in the US.
We’ve got an interesting idea for how to handle this that we’ll share very soon in our next update…
Beyond that, stay tuned for additional Wave 2A shipping updates and Wave 2B production updates!
Stay sexy!
